- The Vasa plant in Ayurveda more commonly known as adusa (adulsa). Adulsa is a popular medicinal plant in India. In the moniker Vasaka ‘vasa’ translates to ‘perfume’ that is emitted from its flowers.
- In Sanskrit botany, Vasaka means both “lion’s muzzle” and “stallion’s tooth” exhibiting the plant’s strength.
- It is bestowed with many names: Arusa, Adusa, Adulsa, Vasika, and Vajidanta.
- The evergreen shrub with white flowers has a bitter taste, but it compensates for this with its numerous health benefits.
